Friendship is what Compeer is all about.  Compeer matches trained volunteers in one-to-one supportive friendship and mentoring relationships with at-risk children and adults receving mental health treatment.

Compeer of the Mohawk Valley, Inc. serves adults and children in Oneida and Herkimer Counties.

Compeer friendships enable the adults and young people we serve to become more socially integrated into the community and to reach greater independence.  The consistent, caring relationships formed between volunteers and their friends foster a sense of belonging, trust and self-esteem in the people referred to the program.
